Here's a superb underground metal band that plays experimental technical progressive metal with electronica flourishes. I know that's a mouthful, but they've got a whole bunch of things going in their ultra layered technical music. Highly recommended if you don't know them. I've seen them live and they're just as good if not better than on record. Awesome melodic/heavy vocals, awesome technical guitar playing, awesome lyrics and awesome syncopated drum patterns.
